American White Oak

Heartwood is light to medium brown, often with an olive cast.

The grain is straight with a coarse, uneven texture.

Produces good results with hand and machine tools. Has moderately high shrinkage
values, resulting in mediocre dimensional stability.

Responds well to steam-bending. Glues, stains and finishes well.

Commonly used for cabinetry, furniture, interior trim, flooring, boatbuilding, barrels
and veneer.
