The story begins in 2010,
The company was started in 2010 by Hans Schneemann from a 200m2 factory in Mahogany Ridge, Pinetown, KZN. Hans had been in the timber industry for 13 years before starting Eco Timber Traders and gained valuable experience working for some of the SA timber industry’s most prominent timber agents and merchants.
2011
In 2011 Rob Chubb joined Hans as a partner and brought with him 18 years of previous experience in the hardwood industry.

Eco Timber Traders has now become a sizable and well-respected timber supplier in South Africa, with branches in KwaZulu-Natal (managed by Hans), Gauteng (managed by Rob), and the Eastern Cape (Managed by Nathan).
In addition
In addition, Eco Timber Traders also has a well-equipped machine shop with a skilled group of machinists who are exceptional at what they do and as a result provide quality machined products for each job they are given to manufacture. We also have a fleet of trucks in order to offer an efficient delivery service in the KZN, Gauteng and Eastern Cape areas. As a company we pride ourselves in carrying a wide range of quality products at reasonable pricing and offer exceptional service.
